The Go Raleigh Transit Station Renovation included new concrete bus lanes, sidewalks, bus shelters, ticket booth, restrooms, stair tower, elevator tower, courtyard, video monitors for bus schedule information, fire alarm upgrades, fire sprinkler system upgrades, and signage.

The renovation included demolition of an existing eight story cast in place concrete stair tower that was no longer in code compliance. The bus station and parking deck remained in operation during the entire renovation process except for two weeks while this stair tower was demolished.

The new bus shelters and seating areas were designed with better lighting to provide a safer environment for patrons. The new restrooms included radiant floor heating and radiant ceiling heating units. The new ticket booth provided for multiple ticket windows so that customers could get tickets quickly. The ticket booth building also included a new driver lounge that was more accessible to the drivers.
