Solargenix Energy, LLC is a limited liability company formed between Duke Engineering and Services (DE&S) and Solar Roof International, Inc. (SRI). This partnership combines DE&S's worldwide experience in energy and environmental engineering with SRI's building design, solar expertise, construction experience and proprietary solar technologies. Solargenix's Sustainable Buildings Division will design, manufacture, install and maintain solar systems capable of producing mid-to-high-temperature hot water for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential buildings.

After an extensive testing phase at the North Carolina Solar Center and Sandia National laboratories, the Power Roof™ is now proving its real value to building owners from Sacramento, California, to Canoas, Brazil. Now under construction in Raleigh by American South General Contractors is the largest solar system to ever be constructed in North Carolina. In Charleston, South Carolina, American South is integrating the 30,000sf Power Roof™ into the Cambar Office Building where this roof will soon be providing tenants with thermal-driven electricity, space heating, hot water, and natural lighting, fueled by the sun.
